Rosbercon 9 - 2 Gorey Celtic
The scoreline says it all here. We made the long trip to New Ross and came away deflated after a hammering from the home team.
We actually started well in this and were making chances, as were they, in the first twenty minutes. When we lost the first goal the home team seemed to sense blood and went about firing everything they had in the direction of our goal.
Some of the goals would grace any game while some of efforts to stop them would not be seen at Under 9 level.
Positives: we got two second half goals from the returning Mark Walsh who will benefit from the 90 minutes. Richie Quinn also put in a good shift on the right side of midfield.
There will be changes for next week as this level of performance is unacceptable.
