Shamrock Rovers 2 - 4 Gorey Celtic
It was a good win for the under 16 2nd team today 2-1 away to a very strong Forth Celtic side .
Plenty of changes today with Sean Hawthorn and Dillon Byrne making their first starts for the club and also a couple of forced changes.
We went 1-0 up thanks to an own goal after good strong pressure from John Joe McCarthy. We should have added more but were not able to convert our chances so we made a couple more changes.

Forth Celtic pulled back level after the break with plenty of help from our own mistakes. We were still creating changes but needed a bit of luck. We emptied the bench in search of a goal and with some good foot work from the fresh Dion Leeson attacking down the right crossing the ball to Ian Barnes who wrapped up the win.
It was a well deserved win even when Forth played 4 of their first team lads and that came from their Manager after the game.
Well done all 18 lads .... lets keep it going
