Bridge Rovers 0 - 0 Gorey Celtic

We travelled to Castlebridge on Sunday afternoon and played out a 0-0 draw with Bridge Rovers.
We had a few returning players from the second team, with Brian Donohoe coming in at right-full back with Colm Stafford and Graham Geraghty partnering up in cental midfield. Darren O' Mahony was up front with James Mordaunt.

This team carried plenty of threat going forward and we should have killed this match off in the first half where we created good chances and kept the ball well. In fairness the Bridge Rovers keeper did well, as did Artur Guz in the Celtic goal, getting his second clean sheet in a row.

H.T. 0-0

Despite the missed chances in the first half we all felt during the half-time chat that it was only a matter of time before we made the breakthrough. As the second half wore on it was clear that the two teams were evenly matched and that if either side could dig out a goal it would probably be enough to take the 3 points.
Pa Murphy came closest for Celtic when his bullet-like header was scrambled off the line by the home defence.

Overall a solid performance from everyone on show and a second clean sheet in a row is a real positve.
Special mentions for Artur Guz, Chris Cullen and Graham Geraghty.
