Fixture Change

Celtics First Team's league game against Kilmore has been brought forward by 48 hours, from Sunday 5th of February to Friday 3rd (tomorrow).

It's being played under lights with an 8:00pm kick off.

Weekend Results

Only 2 of Celtics senior sides were playing over the weekend and they recorded a win and a draw.

The first team were at home under the lights on Friday night against Tombrack in the 2nd round of the Wexford Cup and made it into round 3 after a 1-0 win.
The second team faced Adamstown at home in the league and drew 1-1
The third team game away to Forth Celtic was cancelled due to the weather

Schoolboy/girl Results

The under 16 B team are still top of the league after beating Fastnet 3-2
The under 12 team last out 3-0 in the local derby cup match against Gorey Rangers
The under 12 girls team are into the next round of the cup after a 3-2 extra time win over Ballindaggin

Ball Girls

We had a great day last Sunday 29th with the young girls, two under 10's, Emma Lynch and Fina Lynch were team mascots and eight under 12 girls, Caragh Clarke, Amy Wilson, Stacy Lavery, Sara Lynch, Jade Lynch, Becky Yeates, Caoimhe Byrne and Ebha Cahill were ball girls for Wexford Youths Womens game as they entertained the very impressive Peamount United.

The girls enjoyed themselves dispite such a wet day and hopefully they will have picked up some good tips.
A big thanks to Wexford Youths Women for looking after the girls and to the parents for helping out.

The second round draws for the 3 cups were made last night in the league offices in Wexford.
All 3 Celtic teams were in the draw for their relevant cups.

The draw for the Wexford Cup second round was made in Wexford last night and Celtic had 2 teams in the draw, the A and B sides.

County Squads

Congratulations to 2 of our under 16 stars the final cut of 32 in the emerging talent, have now made the county squad, Well done to Ross O'Connor joining Ross Reardon on the panel.

Also congratulations to another under star Ciaran Finn who was selected in a squad of 20 for Under 15s squad for the SFAI Competition in Carlow on the 28th and 29th of January 2012.

Well done to the 3 lads but also a word must be said for the hard work their coaches have put in with all the teams.
